Project  Brief

The project begins with my brief as part of the Home and Belonging Journal, where we explore the often-overlooked complexities of displacement and its profound impact on individuals’ sense of home and belonging. Drawing from the lived experiences detailed in the studies by Kams and Bawden, our initiative aims to highlight the challenges faced by displaced individuals. Through comprehensive research and critical reflection, we seek to foster empathy and understanding within our communities. Our design approach focuses on creating a final site and modular spaces that prioritize comfort and interconnectedness. Each module is thoughtfully designed to meet individual needs, cultivating an environment where everyone can rediscover their sense of belonging.
